These past two months have welcomed a series of new events as MSSI has completed the merge with KPIVP and formed a new entity called Medical Provider Resources fondly referred to as MPR. Our new approach to credentialing includes gathering practitioner information once and doing as many things with the data as possible. This new approach is commonly referred to as an accountable credentialing organization and has proven successful on both the east and west coasts and most recently in the Chicago market.
The premise of the accountable credentialing organization is to take the burden off the practitioner of providing information multiple times to multiple persons performing multiple tasks. MPR is now able to use the initial appointment application or CAQH application (as indicated by our clients) to gather information once and not only get the practitioner on board at the various participating hospitals through the Centralized Verification Service (CVS) but enroll the practitioner into insurance companies as required as well. I am excited to offer this new approach to credentialing.
MPR now offers credentialing to 50+ facilities throughout the state of Kansas and Nebraska. We are launching allied health credentialing in the Sedgwick and Harvey county region this month and look forward to offering additional service lines in the future.
We now have two locations serving our MPR clients. Our centralized verification services are being offered at our east location at 550 North 159th Street East, Suite 219, Wichita, Kansas 67230 and our provider enrollment services are being offered at the Medical Society of Sedgwick County at 1102 South Hillside, Wichita, Kansas 67211. Both locations can be accessed by calling 316-733-9576 or 316-683-0178.
